A Chance In A Lifetime

Author's note- this is a story about a kid with special powers, and this is when he first learns about the powers

Running, running was all I knew. I mean I...I.. just never could have defended myself from those 9th graders. But then I thought about my friends who I left behind, and I felt so terrible for doing that, but then, of course, my pride took over. wasn’t like normal kids, I had.....special powers.....I guess you could say that. But back to my story. As I walked to those....those...behemoths, I yelled, “Hey ugly, come and beat up a man”! Then as those 9th graders walked up to me all of the bravery I had in me fell out like wet cement.
“What did the little 6th grader call himself, a M..A..N”! one of them shouted.
I knew I had it coming, until a light flashed out of my chest. I heard them scraping against the concrete, but they didn’t stand a chance for this....this, vacuum of light?, A white hole? Well, I had no clue what in the world happened, but when that light was gone, my friends were in total awe. But the worst part was, my Dad saw the whole thing, and there, at that moment, I knew I was toast.
All he said was “Get in now”. So when I got in, it was silent until we were about two miles away from the school grounds. “Great....this is just great”, my Dad decided to say. “What is it Dad?” I asked. x
